Theodore Scott

I am an immigration and personal injury attorney. I assist non-citizens in obtaining lawful permanent residency status, U.S. citizenship status, authorization to work in the United States, and defense from deportation. In order to better assist our clients, our office has Spanish speaking members on staff. I also assist persons in car accidents, truck accidents, slip and falls to receive compensation for their injuries.

I received my undergraduate degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education. Before becoming an attorney, I was a middle school science teacher for the Atlanta Public School System. Then I attended law school in the evenings after work at Georgia State Law School for three years. Afterwards, I transferred to John Marshall Law School for my final year. After the passing the bar exam in 1991, I began working as a personal injury attorney under the leadership of the late Attorney Raiford Stanley in Decatur, Georgia, and later under the tutelage of the esteemed criminal defense attorney, Tony Axam.

I have been a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA), and I am currently an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

I have spoken at numerous churches, furnishing information and assistance with immigration matters, wills, estates, and other legal matters.

I always strive to satisfy my clients and to exhibit high level of ethics and professionalism with all of my clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.

My hobbies are chess, fishing, and hunting. I am a very active member and officer of Charity Missionary Baptist Church in the Decatur, Georgia.
I have now been, for over 25 years, a senior partner of the law office of Scott, Scott and Scott, P.C. in Decatur, GA, where my wife, my twin brother, and my son are also lawyers.
